Stephen Bower
Stephen Bower, born in Sheffield in 1949, attended Manchester College of Art from 1970 to 1974. He works mainly in oils and builds up his work in successive layers over days/weeks. He dislikes using photographs and prefers to base his colour compositions on direct observations apart from his images of iconic musicians.
