The three Evans brothers, all born in Barnet Street in the Wavertree area of Liverpool are holding their first group exhibition in their home city.
The eldest brother, Dave worked for several years as Artistic Director for Littlewoods Mail Order, overseeing many photoshoots involving some top models in lingerie and swimwear (lucky man). After retiring he was able to revert to his first love, fine art, and is exhibiting several figurative works in oils, watercolours and pastels.
Middle brother, Stan, started work with the Inland Revenue before switching from Villain to Hero working as tax advisor in a local accountancy firm. It was only after retiring and suffering illness that Stan resumed his early passion for art and has been producing finely observed, meticulously executed drawings and watercolours, again, mainly figurative, including portraits.
Tony, the youngest Brother, is now well established and very successful in his second career as a sculptor. Like his older brothers, Tony only started practicing art seriously after retiring from work as an Insurance agent. He took courses at Liverpool Community College then went on to do a fine art degree followed by a fellowship. Ken Martin at View Two was the first to buy some of his works made from domestic plumbing materials (recycled and new). Since then he has exhibited widely and received several commissions.
